Whether if you are in need of scientific art (Scientific journal cover design, graphical abstracts, figures and posters), simulations or professional editing, SCIWORK can provide. Here, we have listed a number of SciWork FAQs you might have. If you didn’t find the answers you were looking for, contact us.
Your Questions
What is the typical timeframe for a project?
For the graphics projects and scientific art, including graphical abstracts, journal cover design and figures, we usually aim to have a design ready within two weeks. Simulations can take longer, depending on the details of the model and required data. Reviewing and revising manuscripts depends on the subject and the word count. It is usually delivered within a week.
What type of graphics you provide?
We specialize in crafting scientific art for journal cover design, table of contents, graphical abstracts and figures for media releases. Further, we can prepare and refine your figures for better representation of your work. Thant being said, this step is essential for high-profile journals to consider your work.
Do I have to have a sketch, or a preliminary figure?
Having a sketch would definitely help. Yet, it is not necessary. We will proceed with your ideas and the content of your scientific work to suggest an initial sketch. Next, we will proceed to develop the final scientific art.
What type of molecular modeling and calculation services you provide?
We specialize in molecular dynamics simulations using a variety of forcefields. These include but are not limited to COMPASS, UNIVERSAL and REAXX in LAMMPS. Also, we perform quantum calculations using Density Functional Theory modules in DMOL3 among other modules.
What type of editorial services you provide?
Years of experience with various journal editorials allows us to suggest the journals most compatible for you to submit your work to. We shorten the path for you to have a pleasant experience in publishing your paper without wasting time in long wait times for journals that will not accept your work with slightest excuses.
We are familiar with the most common comment “this paper needs to be revised by a native English speaker” or something similar, and how frustrating it can be. Our experienced team will help you with revising your paper to shine out your ideas in a more refined manner.
How will I receive the prepared project?
Fora graphic orders and scientific art (artistic designs for journals), you will receive the files required by the journal. They are usually in .pdf, .png, .tiff, and .jpg formats and will be in suitable size and with best possible resolution.
For simulations, you can choose to get the final graphics showing the results, or the results and models files upon request.
For journal recommendation and revision service, you will be in touch with one of our experts to draft a plan suitable to your needs.
